Uses: Latex is applied to ulcers, herpes, and used in treatment of scabies. Seeds are hemostatic. Bark is stimulant and its decoction is used as a purgative, febrifuge, and emmenagogue. Bark is used in dropsical and venereal infections and is said to be a powerful antiherpatic. Latex is rubefacient and purgative; and is used for treatment of itch, rheumatism, and gum troubles. Roots are cathartic.
