Uses: Unripe or half ripe fruits are used as astringent, digestive, and stomachic; also used for diarrhoea and dysentery. Pulp aromatic and cooling, used in the form of sherbet. Marmelosin is the active constituent; it is used as a laxative and diuretic, if used in strong doses act as cardiac depressant.
