Uses: Herb refrigerant, vulnerary, antiscorbutic, aperient, and diuretic. applied in scurvy; used in diseases of liver, spleen, kidney and bladder. It is also used in cardio-vascular diseases, dysuria, haematuria, in dysentery, sore nipples, and ulceration of the mouth. In homoeopathy the herb is used to stimulate gastric secretion. Roasted seeds considered diuretic and antidysenteric; also applied in applications for burns and scalds.
