Uses: The plant is employed as astringent, diuretic and expectorant and is used in diarrhoea, pulmonary and urinary troubles. Infusion of fresh flowers in olive oil obtained an oil which is applied externally for sores, swellings, ulcers and wounds and also in case of rheumatism and lumbago. Plant contains hypericin which is toxic to livestock.
