Uses: The bark containing the mucilage is used in dysentery. The leaves of the plant is used as laxative and resolvent and the infusion employed in vulnerary. . An embrocations is prepared from the roots which is applied for rheumatism and lumbago. The infusion of seeds is considered as emetic.
