Uses: The leaves, bark, and fruits of the plant are considered of having insect-repellent properties. Leaf-juice are employed as anthelmintic, diuretic and emmenagogue. From the the tree a gum is obtained which is used in spleen enlargement, and the infusion of bark is given in ascariasis. Fruits are given as tonic, in cases of severe poisoning.
