Uses: Leaves are demulcent, diuretic, expectorant, and sudorific and used in coughs, colds and asthma.It is also used in dyspepsia, diarrhoea, rheumatism, and nervous disorders. Smoke produced by burning the herb has anticholinergic and antihistaminic effect .Flowers are used as a demulcent in gargles and their decoction in eye troubles.
