Uses: It is used for the same medicinal purpose as in S. nux-vomica. Wood is used as a tonic in dyspepsia, malarial infections and in cutaneous troubles Leaves and roots are boiled in oil and applied to treat rheumatic swellings. Roots are purgative, febrifuge and anthelmintic. Roots are used in cutaneous troubles.
