Uses: Roots are burnt as incense by the local people. They are used as diuretic and applied also in the treatment of itches. Infusion is given for indigestion and irregularity of menses. Roots produces an essential oil and are a good source of coumarin compounds. Fruits used as a carminative, laxative, diuretic, stimulant, liver tonic and aphrodisiac. It is said to promote expulsion of foetus.
